Biography

Sunil Singhvi is an experienced versatile media professional who has fashioned a career spanning broadcast, entertainment, Big Tech and more recently Web3. Having led global teams and worked with some of the biggest talent in the world Sunil is never more comfortable than when helping individuals and groups understand themselves and utilise the latest trends in digital to tell their most authentic stories.


Back in 2002, Sunil joined the BBC to help set up their brand new radio station aimed at young urban audiences. 1Xtra was born in the August of that year and Sunil was responsible for bringing new talent to the network many of whom have gone on to be UK household names including Reggie Yates and Twin B.


After winning industry awards for Radio programmes and outside broadcasts Sunil left the BBC to join the UK’s number 1 Talent Agency James Grant Group (now YM&U). In this new role he taught talent how to harness the fast developing new space online for community building and commercial opportunities. Over his four years at the agency he was responsible for acquiring new talent, driving creation of original IP and building revenue streams for clients through in the burgeoning social media space.


In 2012 as Twitter started to build out its EMEA team Sunil joined the pre IPO micro-blogging site to lead their relationships with the entertainment industry. From onboarding talent to masterminding live TV Integrations and pushing Twitter forward as a medium of its own, Sunil was part of a core team that saw the social network become a key part of UK culture.


After being promoted to Director, Sunil was asked to lead Global Music from the company’s San Francisco HQ. As well as pioneering new forms of social, like Vine and Periscope, Sunil oversaw partnerships with the world’s biggest stars, pulling together a global team to foster relationships with up and coming superstars, K-Pop mega stars and the legends of the music industry.


At the start of 2017 Instagram came calling and Sunil returned to the UK to lead Instagram partnerships across Northern Europe. In his 4.5 year stint at the Facebook owned app, Sunil created and executed partnerships across a raft of industries including Music, Entertainment, Sports and the Arts helping drive the careers of a generation of digital first artists and creators.


In 2019 he was named as a ‘Tech Titan’ in the Evening Standard’s list of influential Londoners. After helping to establish IGTV as a home for young creators to go longform and Reels as a place to explode your fanbase, Sunil left Instagram in search of a new opportunity to help artists tell their stories and benefit more from the communities they had built.


In 2021 Sunil was appointed the Chief Business Development Officer for leading NFT marketplace Rarible. Joining the C Suite of this industry leader. In this role Sunil built out a global BD team, helped onboard global brands, high profile celebrities and Web3 natives to Rarible and Web3. He was a featured speaker at NFT.NYC, NFT.LA and a frequent commentator on Cheddar News.


In Q4 2022 Sunil joined the Seven League team as a VP whilst also continuing to support clients as part of illsun Consulting and Collectables.


Sunil resides in the U.K. gaining his Bachelor of Arts from University of Southampton, when he is not bluffing his way through raising two children with his wife Amy you can find him searching for Golden Age and Silver Age comics.
